About the Role
Signature Healthcare is seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to drive growth in philanthropic revenue and deepen donor engagement across our community. As a senior leader on our development team, you will design, implement, and evaluate strategies that strengthen annual giving, mid-level giving, major gifts, and grant funding. You’ll also oversee key initiatives, including the Associate Annual Fund Drive, the School of Nursing fundraising campaign, and the Signature Circle stewardship program.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll build donor pipelines, steward meaningful relationships, and ensure long-term sustainability of our fundraising programs. You’ll also provide supervision and mentorship to our Development Assistant while partnering with leadership to set goals and measure success.
What You’ll Do
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
- Lead strategies to grow annual, mid-level, and major giving aligned with Signature Healthcare’s mission.
- Manage a portfolio of 500+ annual donors, 75 mid-level donors, and 10+ major gift prospects.
- Apply a moves management approach to strengthen donor relationships and increase giving levels.
- Redesign and grow the Signature Circle stewardship program, boosting donor participation and gift size.
- Steward and expand support for the School of Nursing through cultivation strategies, campaigns, and events.
- Develop innovative multi-channel fundraising campaigns (solicitations, digital, direct mail, proposals).
- Partner with leadership to establish revenue goals, budgets, and reporting dashboards.
- Use Raiser’s Edge to track donor activity, analyze results, and inform data-driven strategies.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and mentor the Development Assistant, setting clear goals and fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and community stakeholders to align funding priorities.
- Partner on events, stewardship activities, and special initiatives that elevate donor engagement.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years of progressive fundraising experience with a strong track record of securing gifts.
- Proven success managing donor pipelines and hitting revenue goals.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Skilled communicator with excellent writing, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM software.
- Leadership experience with staff supervision and team mentorship.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
